Eicher registers 2.8pc growth in buses and trucks

Eicher branded trucks and buses have registered sales of 3,687 units in May 2013 as compared to 3,587 units in May 2012, representing a growth of 2.8pc. The YTD 2013 sales stand at 19992 units as compared to LYTD 2012 sales of 21,995 units, representing a drop of 9.1pc. In the domestic CV Market (5T and above), Eicher trucks and buses have recorded sales of 3488 units as compared to 3,432 units in May 2012, representing a growth of 1.6pc. YTD 2013 sales stand at 1,9190 units as compared to LYTD 2012 sales of 20,918 units, representing a drop of 8.3pc. In the domestic 5-14T LMD truck segment, Eicher recorded sales of 1,833 units in May 2013 as compared to 1,899 units in May 2012, representing a drop of 3.5pc. YTD 2013 sales stand at 11,600 units as compared to LYTD 2012 sales of 13,467 units, representing a drop of 13.9pc In the domestic bus segment, May 2013 sales stand at 1,240 units as compared to 932 units in May 2012, representing a 33pc growth. The YTD 2013 sales stand at 4,560 units as compared to LYTD 2012 sales of 3,777 units, representing a 20.7pc growth. In the Heavy Duty truck segment (16T and above), May 2013 sales stand at 415 units as compared to 601 units in May 2012, representing a 30.9pc drop. YTD 2013 Eicher HD sales stand at 3030 units as compared to LYTD 2012 sales of 3,674 units, representing a drop of 17.5pc.
